First leg of our journey....done.

We are now in JFK, all twelve of us, as we await our flight to Santo Domingo.  It is a trip of "firsts" for many:  first plane rides, first time to see a sunrise over Portland, first time EVERYONE was on time, first international trip for many!  We are so proud of ourselves, really, for reaching this goal.  Our six months of hard work has paid off.  It was great to hear Ernie explain to the retired Colby professor behind us of all that we hoped to accomplish when we arrive in the Dominican.  He was impressed!  We'll be touching down in Santo Domingo at 1:30pm.   More to come!   Marie

Ah, the good ol' days in the Portland airport. Here, Marie and Page share their excitement. Here in the D.R., they continue to be excited. They are wonderful people.
