At the Katahdin Program we are dedicated to the idea that learning happens best by DOING. With this in mind we constantly strive to provide students with service opportunities to broaden their experience.

Some of our on-going service projects include:

Habitat for Humanity

Preble resource Center

Partners For World Health

Ruth Reusable Resources

Thanks to our own award winning teacher, Rich Meserve, We are currently working with Volunteers of America to do repair and construction projects in and around Portland!

We also do many in house service projects for our local community including building a timber frame shed to be used to store gear for our ropes course! The students did such a great job!
